Social media has entered a new era of user engagement and incentives. The driving force behind our platform is the belief in rewarding users for their time spent on social media. Using a decentralized contribution-reward-system, the APPICS token (APX) has been designed as a rewarding mechanism that gives back the value generated through contributions to creators and curators within the network. Through a system where rewards are linked to upvotes and the acknowledgment of content value, every participant receives a fair portion from the DAO reward-pool. APPICS aims to establish a network where power not only originates from its users but also remains within the community.

On APPICS, users have the opportunity to share content such as photos and short videos across more than 20 categories, enhancing structure and visibility in the user experience. Comments are considered valuable content as well, allowing users to upvote comments alongside posts, incentivizing positive, helpful, and encouraging interactions.

However, the voting power allocated to each upvote is at the discretion of the user, who can decide on the extent of their voting influence for every interaction. As more upvotes are distributed, individual voting power decreases accordingly. Content rewards are automatically credited to users' in-app wallets after a 30-day period.

APX tokens can be acquired through active content creation, participation in the reward-system, and voting within the app. These tokens offer versatility, allowing users to exchange them for Bitcoin, transfer them to other users, or stake them to boost voting weight, ultimately amplifying potential rewards. The level of engagement directly correlates with the ability to influence reward distribution.
